Arizona Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort mentioned he’s receiving inquiries from other teams regarding the team’s fourth overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

Ossenfort clarified that while they’re open to discussions, it doesn’t necessarily indicate a trade is imminent. However, they are receptive to exploring any promising offers that come their way.

“We’re always open to listening,” Ossenfort stated. “We’re prepared to engage in discussions. Whether it materializes into a deal, be it at No. 4 or any other spot, remains to be seen. But we’re open to exploring options.”

Unlike some teams in top draft positions, the Cardinals already have a solid quarterback in Kyler Murray, under a long-term contract. Their focus is on bolstering other areas of the team, particularly the wide receiver position.

While linked to top receivers like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers, the Cardinals are also considering trading down, as demonstrated by Ossenfort’s bold moves in last year’s draft. He’s open to waiting until draft night for the right opportunity.

“There’s still a lot of uncertainty until we’re officially on the clock,” Ossenfort added. “Conversations are ongoing, but we’ll have to see how things unfold.”

The draft could be significant for the Cardinals, who have been relatively quiet in the offseason. They’ve made a few notable signings, including offensive tackle Jonah Williams and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting.

On Wednesday, they added offensive lineman Evan Brown on a one-year deal. Additionally, they acquired quarterback Desmond Ridder from the Atlanta Falcons, providing valuable depth behind Murray.

Considering Murray’s injury history, securing a reliable backup quarterback like Ridder was a prudent move for the Cardinals. Both Coach Jonathan Gannon and Ossenfort expressed optimism about Ridder’s skill set and potential contribution to the team.
