Heading into the game with Oregon, the Cougars are 41-47-7 all time. Although the Ducks lead the series, they are pretty close when you break it down. In my eyes, that is a great way to describe the game coming on Saturday in Pullman, WA. It’s going to be a close one!

Here is a look at how I think our prospects will do on Saturday coming off their bye week.

James Williams – RB

Preview Against University of Oregon

Leading the country in receptions for running backs (32), I expect that to be his role on Saturday. Make an impact through the air. He will definitely help out on the ground in a smaller role, with Max Borghi really coming into his own, but Williams seems to make special things happen when he catches the ball.

With his sure hands, I expect most of his yards to come through the air, but I do not see him getting in the end zone more than once in this game.

Predicted Stats:

8 carries, 35 yards, 0TDs

6 receptions, 68 yards, 1TD

Davontavean Martin– WR

Preview Against University of Oregon

Offensively, Martin has to have a big game. He needs to be a difference maker in this one. Easop Winston Jr. has really been playing at a high level. I think the Cougs need to put them on opposite sides of the ball and one will get open. Martin needs to have a 10 reception day in this one and play well in both halves of this one.

Predicted Stats:

11 receptions, 120-yards, 1TD

Andre Dillard- OL

Preview Against University of Oregon

Andre Dillard does not allow sacks. Plain and simple. He will have another big day, but he will certainly have his hands full against Oregon. They have some big talent on defense, so expect him to put some big-time work in. If any Ducks want a sack come Saturday, they better bring their lunch with them, because it will be a long day.

Predicted Stats:

Still, no sacks allowed

Nnamdi Oguayo– EDGE

Preview Against University of Oregon

Oguyao has missed the last two weeks with an injury. It looks like there is a small chance he could play a limited role this week. I do not expect him to play again this week. From what I have been seeing with his progress, it might really benefit him to sit out one more week.

Predicted Stats:

Will not play

Jalen Thompson– S

Preview Against University of Oregon

They do not just give out nominations for the Bednarik Watch List. Thompson has proved each week that he is capable of playing on Sundays. Being one of 9 players in the PAC-12 on this list, it shows you what kind of talent there is on the West-Coast.

Thompson will be a great matchup down the field for Justin Herbert. Many see him as one of the top prospects for the 2019 NFL Draft, much like Sam Darnold last year. Thompson had an interception in that one and took away the long pass for most of the night. I expect very similar results on Saturday.

Predicted Stats:

2 pass deflections, 1 interception, 3 tackles

Let me know what you think about these prospects and my predictions in the comments!
