This one was a long time coming. Kid Rock is finally joining the ranks of the WWE Hall of Fame as this year’s celebrity inductee. After pairing with WWE for almost 20 years now, it was only a matter of time before the recognition came through. Kid Rock has been in the music scene since 1989, using a unique mixture of rap, rock, and country. The lyrics can be as simple as bragging about his life to some serious introspection. Kid Rock is getting the induction he truly deserves.

Live Performances

Kid Rock’s music career may have gone back as far as ’89, but he didn’t make his first appearance with WWE until 2000 when he performed on an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW. The performance was done incredibly well. Kid Rock fans tend to also be WWE fans, so the cross-promotion made sense. Kid Rock always had a great relationship with the WWE. They invited him back after nine years to perform again at WrestleMania 25.

Kid Rock put on an incredible performance then as well. After rocking the stage twice, he received the ultimate honor by being asked to perform at Tribute to the Troops in 2012. It doesn’t get any better than being asked to perform for the men and women fighting for our country.

Studio Showtimes

The impact doesn’t stop there, though. Kid Rock’s music has been utilized by two of the biggest stars in WWE. Kid Rock covered the ZZ Top song ‘Legs,’ which was used for Stacy Keibler’s entrance theme. His song ‘American Badass’ served as the entrance theme for the aptly named Undertaker gimmick of The American Badass. Kid Rock’s songs have served the WWE for many years, and he is now being honored for his work with his Hall of Fame induction. Congratulations Kid Rock from all of us here at Sports Al Dente.
